Our mission is to provide comprehensive insights into the causes, treatments, and emotional aspects of hair loss, inspired by personal journeys and a commitment to making a difference.
About Us
Kendra Sandal
Kendra is a co-founder of Hair Happens or Not and has been living with Alopecia Areata since she was 12 years old. For many years, she hid her condition, feeling isolated and unsure of how to cope. Now, at almost 24, Kendra is ready to share her story and use her experiences to support and inspire others. Her bravery and openness are at the heart of our mission to raise awareness and provide resources for those dealing with hair loss. Kendra earned her Cosmetology license to sell wigs and help others take care of theirs offering her expertise to those in need.
Kendra's family includes her son, Lincoln, a soon-to-arrive baby girl, and her boyfriend, Jayd. They live in the Sioux Falls, SD area, where they continue to bring hope and awareness to the community.
Heidi Sandal
Heidi is a co-founder of Hair Happens or Not, alongside her daughter, Kendra. As Kendra's mom, Heidi has walked the path of alopecia alongside her daughter, experiencing the emotional ups and downs that come with it. Through this journey, Heidi has developed a deep understanding and empathy for other parents facing the same challenges. She is dedicated to offering comfort and support to families, ensuring that no one feels alone in their struggle.
Heidi has been married for close to 30 years, and together with her husband, Scott, they have four wonderful children. Her and Scott live in Lennox, SD.
