About Us
Kendra Sandal
Kendra, co-founder of Hair Happens or Not, has lived with Alopecia Areata since age 12. After years of hiding her condition, she now shares her journey to inspire and empower others. Her courage reflects our mission: making medical grade wigs affordable and accessible to everyone facing hair loss, regardless of financial circumstances.
A licensed Cosmetologist and certified Cranial Prosthetic Specialist, Kendra earned her Cosmetology license at Stewart School in Sioux Falls and her Cranial Prosthetic certification from Wig Medical. She provides compassionate solutions through wig sales and care, helping individuals regain confidence while easing the burdens of hair loss caused by conditions like alopecia, cancer-related hair loss.
Kendra lives in Sioux Falls, SD, with her son Lincoln, daughter Marlee, and partner, Jayd.
Heidi Sandal
Heidi is the co-founder of Hair Happens or Not, a venture she started with her daughter, Kendra. Inspired by her journey alongside Kendra through alopecia, Heidi is driven by a mission to make medical-grade wigs affordable and accessible for everyone in need. She is passionate about easing the financial burden and emotional challenges of hair loss for individuals and families alike.
Heidi and her husband, Scott, have been married for nearly 30 years. Together, they have a close-knit family with four children, their significant others and two grandchildren. Heidi and Scott live in Lennox, South Dakota, where they cherish time spent with family and friends.
